Supplemental data for: Cecal bacterial communities and lung immunity in layers fed omega-3 fatty acids or yeast bioactives under different space allowance

The dataset includes metadata and results for bacterial enumeration, short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) concentration, bacterial family abundance profiles, SCFA-microbiota association analyses, and lung RNA expression data. Microbiota-related datasets were generated from cecal samples and include taxonomic abundance data relevant to the composition of the poultry gut microbial community.

The lung RNA dataset contains gene expression measurements associated with immune responses. Associated metadata include dietary treatments, spacing allowance, sampling time points, and experimental identifiers relevant to poultry nutrition, microbiology, immunology, and agri-environmental research.
