Quantitative data of phytoplankton from 106 sampling sites in the Erhai Lake Basin, August 2024

The river sampling points were evenly distributed along 27 rivers in the Erhai Lake Basin, including the Luoshi River, Xinyong'an River, and Yangxi River. A 5 L organic glass water sampler was used to collect water samples at a depth of 0.5 m below the water surface. 500 mL of water samples were taken and placed in polyethylene bottles.

Lugol's iodine solution was added on-site at a volume ratio of 1% -1.5% for fixation. After settling for 24 hours, siphon concentrate to 10 mL. Quantitative analysis: Take 120 μ L of the concentrated sample after shaking, place it in a 20 mm × 20 mm biological counting frame, and count and identify it under an optical microscope (40 ×).
