For RMC and VCC at VCNP, GPD female includes information for eartags and Nyanzol markers Weandate = JULIAN date when juveniles first appeared aboveground for each litter Partdate = JULIAN date when parturition occurred Gesttime = length of gestation (days) = Partdate - Copdate (not shown in this file) Lactime = number of days between parturition and first emergence of juveniles from natal burrow Gestlac = summation of ALLgest and ALLlac.

I ASSUME that date of weaning = date of first juvenile emergence from the natal burrow entrance, but I know this is not completely true--because nursing of juveniles continues to occur after first juvenile emergences. See Chapter 18 for details.

OLD File name = GPDS, ALL COPDATES, PARTDATES, WEANWTS, 24 June 2022 I made this new file today, on 24 June 2022 by combining data from the following two files: File name = GPDs, gestation and lactation vs littsize, 04 Feb 2020 and File name = GPDs, Judy's file, 21 April 2022 ALLgest includes lengths of gestation from both PEFO and VCNP ALLlac includes lengths of lactation from both PEFO and VCNP When I include data from VCNP, the details of lengths for GPD gestation and GPD lactation change slightly.

When I include data from VCNP, the marginal significance for GPD gesttime vs littsize at weaning and the marginal significance of GPD lactime vs littsize at weaning both disappear. All lengths are in DAYS OLD File name = GPDs, Gest and Lac, All 3 cols, 24 June 2022 04 Dec 2020. In Oct-December of 2020, Judy has checked and corrected all data in this file for data from VCNP (RMC and VCC).

I assume that Judy found and corrected all errors. She frequently asked questions while she was correcting this file. GPD Redondo Meadow Colony (RMC, studied in 2013 through 2016) was at Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP).

GPD Visitor Center Colony (VCC, studied in 2017 and 2018) was also at VCNP. GPD colony at Petrified Forest National Park (PEFO) was studied from 1989 through 1995. Dates shown here are Julian dates.

Julian date of copulation = 71 = 12 March, for example. Julian date of first emergence of juveniles from natal burrow entrance = 145 = 25 May, for example. Julian date of parturition = 84 = March 25, for example.

These Julian data are for NON-LEAP years. Julian dates for leap years after 28 February differ by 1 day.
