Description

This dataset was collected using NIRSport2 near-infrared spectroscopy brain functional imaging equipment (Nanjing Jianchuang Technology Co., Ltd., China), and recorded the concentration changes of oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO) and deoxygenated hemoglobin (HbR) in the cerebral cortex of participants during the task state. The device is based on a dual wavelength detection system of 760nm and 850nm, with a sampling frequency of 7.8125Hz, covering the cerebral hemodynamic response process during task execution, and spatially focusing on the target area of the cerebral cortex (specific channel layout and coverage of brain regions can be supplemented according to the actual light pole layout). Data processing is completed on the MATLAB platform: Firstly, the Homer2 toolkit is used to preprocess the raw light intensity signal, including standard processes such as light intensity to optical density conversion, motion artifact correction, and bandpass filtering; Subsequently, the NIRS-SPM toolbox was used to estimate the beta value of the preprocessed HbO signal based on a general linear model, in order to quantify the activation intensity related to the task; Finally, BrainNet Viewer and NIRS_KIT tools were used to visualize and spatially display the results of brain activation.

The raw data is stored in. nil format, and each participant independently creates a folder to store all their data files. This format can be directly read through open-source toolboxes such as Homer2 and NIR_SPM in MATLAB environment (refer to the official documentation of relevant tools on the NIRS laboratory website). During the collection and processing of the dataset, there were no channel failures or missing data information, and all subject data were complete without systematic missing values or abnormal markers.

The overall quality of the data is controllable, and the analysis process has avoided significant motion artifacts and physiological noise interference. Researchers can customize the parsing of event markers in the. nis file based on experimental design to reproduce or expand the analysis results of this study.
