Long term temporal distribution of waterfowl in 5 identified wetlands from the overlap zone of CAF and EAAF from West Bengal India

The five study sites are Santragachhi jheel, Purbasthali oxbow lake, Ballavpur Tank 1, 2, 3 of Ballavpur Sanctuary, Tilapara Barrage and Gajoldoba, West Bengal, India. The sampling events were performed following transect method; Covering the water-body areas and marshlands.

This dataset includes all the duck species recorded in a span of 15 years. All the species are identified up to the species level A total of 31 species of birds are recorded belonging to 2 families and 2 order. This dataset also includes climate and landscape level parameters of the area from where the birds are recorded.
