Vegetation map for the Orange River-Karoo Conservation Area

The field expedition and report was executed and prepared by Dr. Antje Burke for the Orange River-Karoo Conservation Area (ORKCA) and was funded by The Namibian Chamber of Environment.

The ORKCA forms part of the study area of a broader project funded by the JRS Biodiversity Foundation. The JRS project is titled 'Incorporating succulent plant and animal species information into conservation planning - with a focus on southeastern Namibia' AKA Gariep Endemism Species Information for Conservation Action (GESICA). The data derived from the ORKCA report is a valuable addition to the dataset under the GESICA project.
