This dataset comprises individual-level data from participants in the POPVAC C randomised controlled trial.
Description
POPVAC C was an open-label randomised controlled trial of Bacillus Calmette Guérin (BCG) revaccination versus no BCG among schoolchildren in Entebbe, Uganda (ISRCTN10482904). The aim of the trial was to comprehensively address the hypothesis that revaccination with BCG might enhance responses to unrelated vaccines.
A portfolio of vaccines, of potential benefit to the children and comprising live, inert, oral and parenteral, was provided to enable a comprehensive assessment and comparison of effects of BCG revaccination on immune response to vaccines with different characteristics.
