About Elevational demographic differences of two alpine cushion plants indicate divergent responses to climate changes analyze data

Data were collected across multiple growing seasons, covering elevational gradients and different microhabitats (bare ground, grassland, and shrubland).The dataset includes population structure (proportion of juveniles and adults), individual abundance, seed germination rates, seedling growth (biomass), survival rates, and associated environmental variables (temperature treatments and microhabitat types).

Experimental data were obtained from laboratory-controlled temperature treatments and field-based warming experiments using open-top chambers (OTCs).Results indicate that both species exhibit upslope shifts, with A. oreophila showing a faster response. Warming promotes seedling growth but reduces survival, while microhabitat strongly regulates seedling performance. The dataset is organized by sampling plots and experimental treatments, with clearly defined variables and units.This dataset can be used to investigate alpine plant population dynamics, species-specific responses to climate change, and the role of microhabitat heterogeneity in shaping ecological processes.
