LA-ICP-MS analysis of trace element characteristics and geological implications in sphalerites from Fozichong lead-zinc ore field, Guangxi

For sulfide, USGS MASS-1 and GSE-1G of basaltic molten glass are used to calibrate the sulfide element content. The 193 nm ArF excimer laser ablation system is manufactured by Teledyne Cetac Technologies, and the model is Analyte Excite.

The quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) is manufactured by Agilent Technologies and the model is Agilent 7700x. The deep ultraviolet (UV) beam generated by excimer laser generator is focused on the mineral surface through homogenization light path, with energy density of 6.06 J/cm2, beam spot diameter of 40 μm, frequency of 6 Hz, and total erosion of 40 s. The original test data is processed offline by ICP MS Data Cal software, and the element content is quantitatively calculated by "no internal standard-matrix normalization method".
