SOHO LASCO COMET PHOTOMETRY V1.0

Listed in NASA Data Portal

This data set contains aperture photometry of Kreutz sungrazing comets that were observed by the LASCO instrument on SOHO from 1996-2005.

Description

Apparent magnitude and the error in the magnitude due to photon statistics are given for circular apertures ranging from 1,2,3...10 pixels in radius. All images were taken either with the C2 telescope (11.9 arcsec/pixel) or the C3 telescope (56 arcsec/pixel).

The reduced subimages from which this photometry was calculated are archived with PDS (Knight 2008) [KNIGHT2008] and scientific analysis is in (Knight et al. 2010) [KNIGHTETAL2010].
