Supplementary Data for the article"A more reduced Martian nakhlite preserved in the reequilibrated NWA 13669: Evidence from Cr and Fe K-edge XANES spectroscopy"

This dataset is the supplementary data for the research paper "A more reduced Martian nakhlite preserved in the reequilibrated NWA 13669: Evidence from Cr and Fe K‑edge XANES spectroscopy" and consists of three interrelated supplementary tables.Table 1 presents the electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) major‑element data for pyroxene and olivine grains in the basaltic clasts of NWA 13669. It records the oxide contents (e.g., SiO₂, TiO₂, Al₂O₃, Cr₂O₃, FeO, MnO, MgO, CaO, Na₂O, K₂O, etc.) for each analysed spot and serves as the primary raw data for all subsequent calculations.Table 2 lists the cation numbers of pyroxene calculated from the EPMA major‑element data in Table 1 on the basis of six oxygen atoms per formula unit.

It provides the cation abundances (Si, Ti, Al, Cr, Fe, Mn, Mg, Ca, Na, etc.) for each analysis and is a key intermediate dataset for understanding the crystal‑chemical composition of pyroxene and for performing subsequent thermodynamic calculations.Table 3 reports the Cr valence states (Cr³⁺/ΣCr) in pyroxene and the corresponding oxygen fugacity (fO₂) estimates derived from the above cation numbers, along with the analytical uncertainties for each parameter.
