Pollinator (Apoidea and Syrphidae) occurrence dataset from Aspromonte National Park (Calabria, Italy)

This dataset comprises 239 occurrence records of 105 taxa of wild bees and apoid wasps (Hymenoptera: Apoidea; families Andrenidae, Apidae, Colletidae, Crabronidae, Halictidae, Megachilidae) and hoverflies (Diptera: Syrphidae), sampled at 24 sites across Aspromonte National Park, Calabria region, southern Italy, between June and August 2020. Sampling combined UV-reflective pan traps (white, yellow, blue), Malaise traps at two sites, and active hand-netting.

Species identification combined morphological examination with COX1 barcode sequencing. This dataset supports the analyses presented in Cerini et al. 2026. Pollinators (Apoidea and Syrphidae) Diversity of the Aspromonte National Park (Southern Italy): from hotspot to darkspot, and back.
