This article reviews the asylum programme in Kenya under the UNHCR mandate.
Description
In particular, it evaluates the RSD procedures and reports the results of a survey that the author conducted on Kenya's refugee system from November 2002 to March 2003. The main research hypothesis tested was that the current refugee assessment process in Kenya was inadequate in terms of fairness, efficiency and accuracy within the constraints of the rule of law.
