Data from the Atlas of Marine Fishes of mainland France and Corsica

A code is associated with each species. This code consists of the numbers used in FishBase for classes, orders, families, genera and species. This code identifies each record and is used to name the photo and map files.

Each species is associated with the CD_NOM used in TaxRef to link the atlas data with the INPN data. Other fields provide the scientific name in HTML format and a list of possible synonyms for each taxon. The file, `occurrences_INPN.csv`, provides all the occurrences used to create the atlas maps, including geographical coordinates (latitude, longitude), depth, date of observation, data source and the dataset code.

Each occurrence is associated with the species code and the scientific name in HTML format. The file, ABDSM_Bilan.xlsx, provides, for each species, its presence status – where possible – within each sector defined for the departmental biodiversity atlas and marine sectors (ABDSM). Six presence criteria have been used in this file: “1” = “No information”, “2” = “Probable or certain absence”, “3” = “Confirmed extinction”, “4” = “Probable presence”, “5” = “Certain presence”, “6” = “Presence based on records”.
