HOCLOOP horizontal closed-loop geothermal screening campaign: Latin-hypercube training features and targets (N = 4948) for the interpretable proxy model

A vertical section of depth Z is drilled to the target formation, a horizontal section of length L_horiz is drilled from its base and closed at its end; the working fluid (water) is injected in the annulus, heated along the cased wall and returned through an insulated central tubing.

Heat exchange between well and rock is by conduction, with a Peclet-number correction for groundwater advection.
