Present and Future Olive Suitability in the Mediterranean

Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository

Climate change is expected to alter the environmental conditions governing agricultural production, requiring robust approaches to assess future crop suitability and production potential.

Description

This dataset presents the climate-driven shifts for olive (Olea europaea L.) cultivation across the Mediterranean Basin by integrating temperature, precipitation, soil, altitude and solar radiation requirements derived from the FAO EcoCrop database.

Current and future climatic suitability were assessed under the CMIP6 SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios for three future periods (2041–2060, 2061–2080, and 2081–2100),
