Gibsmithia macroalgae from Claude Payri collection (New Caledonia)

Data are referred to genus and species of sampled specimens along with taxonomical authorship; phylum/class/order/family taxonomy information are also provided. Information on sampling site and event, including country and locality, date, and parameters like geomorphology,depth, visibility,orientation or collector of the specimens and more are recorded.

Each specimen is named with alphanumeric references to NOU national herbarium of New Caleonia, identified using genomic anaalysis and related to the field notes (location id or collector id followed by the year of the sampling event and the specimen id:e.i. MQ11-001 for the first specimen collected during the Marquesas (MQ) campaign in 2011), an IRD number IRD-xxxx, related to the dried herbarium collection, and possibly a (PC) id referencing specimen deposited in the collections of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris (MNHN).
