Data and reproducibility package for reef-area-weighted sea-surface warming across Indonesian coral reefs, 1985–2025

This dataset and reproducibility package supports the manuscript “Reef-area-weighted sea-surface warming reveals subregional thermal heterogeneity across Indonesian coral reefs, 1985–2025.” The study quantifies long-term reef-associated sea-surface temperature (SST) and SST anomaly (SSTA) across Kepulauan Seribu, Maluku Utara, Nusa Tenggara Timur, and Sulawesi Utara using NOAA Coral Reef Watch products for 1985–2025. A harmonized reef-associated frame combining Allen Coral Atlas and UNEP-WCMC reef extent contains 1,250 native 0.05-degree NOAA grid cells across 12 sub-AOIs; 1,153 pixels passed joint SST/SSTA quality control.

The repository contains the final spatial frame, QC outputs, reef-area-weighted monthly and annual derived datasets, trend and seasonality statistics, Driscoll-Kraay and Holm-adjusted contrast results, publication figures, Google Earth Engine scripts, the Python/Google Colab extraction-QC pipeline, software/environment records, data-source metadata, codebook, methodological audit, and supplementary information. Raw third-party source products are not redistributed.
