Data for: The Molecular Communications Markup Language (MolComML)

All details about the simulations are reported in the paper. The first XML file, case_study_1_DiffusionBased.xml, is used to set up the simulation of a simple diffusion scenario (a punctiform transmitter and a spherical, absorbing receiver), and it is used by both BiNS2 and N3SIM simulators, producing the same results.

The second XML file, case_study_2_BloodCTC.xml, is used to set up the simulation of a section of a blood vessel to detect circulating cancer cells (CTCs) by a fixed transparent receiver, and it is used by the BiNS2 simulator. The third XML file, case_study_3_combined_simulators_size_20.xml, is used to set up the simulation of the communication via diffusion of neurotransmitters in a synaptic cleft, from the axon terminal to the dendrite.
