Raw data for the analysis of muti-element stoichiometry in evaluating the response of oceanic productivity to cryosphere-derived nutrient fluxes

Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository

Glacier runoff supplies iron (Fe) to Antarctic coastal ecosystems, and has the potential to enhance marine productivity as global warming increases annual meltwater discharge.

Description

However, the long-term fertilization potential of this Fe flux depends on the availability of other essential macro- and micro-nutrients, including cobalt. Here, we present the first multi-year (2021-2023) trace metal dataset from glacier meltwater in the Antarctic Peninsula, together with a global compilation of meltwater dissolved cobalt, iron, and manganese concentrations.
