First record of the subfamily Megaschizominae Rowland, 1973 from China, with description of a new species of Megaschizomus Lawrence, 1969 (Schizomida: Hubbardiidae)

The subfamily Megaschizominae Rowland, 1973 is recorded from China for the first time through the description of a new species in the genus Megaschizomus Lawrence, 1969: M. zhongshanensis sp. nov. (male, female). This study presents the first illustrated description of male genital structures for a species within this subfamily.

In addition to the detailed description, illustrations, diagnosis, and a distribution map are provided. Additionally, the DNA barcode of the new species is also provided.
