The purpose of the Directory is to provide users of transportation statistics with a comprehensive inventory of transportation data sources to effect easier accessibility to information. The Directory defines a data source as a computerized data base developed within the Federal government for internal and external use, as well as regularly scheduled or special printed statistical reports published by the Federal government that are not included on a computerized system.
