Genomic basis of host recognition and miniaturization in coral-associated Trapezia crabs

Listed in ScienceDB

This dataset is constructed around the host recognition, olfactory receptor evolution, and body miniaturization mechanisms of the coral symbiotic crab genus Trapezia.

Description

It includes whole genome sequencing, genome assembly, and annotation data of three coral crabs, Trapezia septata, Trapezia formosa, and Trapezia rufopunctata, as well as transcriptome data related to multiple functional experiments. The genomic data includes PacBio Sequel II long read sequencing data of muscle tissue DNA from three Trapezia species.

Among them, T. septata further obtained Hi-C sequencing data for chromosome level genome mounting and assembled 61 pseudochromosomes; T. The genomes of Formosa and T. rufopunctata were assembled based on PacBio long read data, and scaffold improvements were made using the T. septata chromosome level genome as a close reference. The corresponding gene structure annotation data integrates ab initio prediction, homologous protein evidence, and transcriptome evidence to form a matching GFF3/GTF, CDS, and protein sequence file. Transcriptome data includes multi tissue RNA seq data for genome annotation, involving inner membrane, hepatopancreas, muscle, gill, and eyeball tissues of three types of Trapezia; Simultaneously containing transcriptome data of T. septata, Portunus trituberculatus, and Eriocheir sinensis antennae/small antennae, for cross species comparison of expression differences of olfactory receptors, particularly ionotropic receptor genes.

In addition, the dataset also includes additional transcriptome data of T. septata antennae for IR gene identification and candidate receptor screening. To analyze the effect of host derived compounds on the olfactory recognition of coral crabs, this dataset also includes RNA seq data of T. septata's antennae after treatment with blank, DMSO, and artemisinic acid. To investigate the relationship between the MF/JH like endocrine pathway and the growth, molting, and miniaturization of crustaceans, the dataset further includes JHE RNAi transcriptome data of Scylla paramamosain, as well as RNA seq data of liver, pancreas, and muscle after exposure to nerolidol. This dataset provides a systematic genome and transcriptome resource for analyzing host recognition, olfactory receptor expansion, transposable element mediated gene expression regulation, host derived metabolite perception, and MF/JH like pathway related body shape evolution in coral crabs.
