Data and images supporting the revision of Chaetocarpus (Peraceae) in the Guianas and the description of Chaetocarpus morigerus, sp. nov

Photographs and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images The dataset includes photographs and SEM images of the three Chaetocarpus (Peraceae) species occurring in the Guianas: Chaetocarpus morigerus Julien Engel & P. Petronelli, sp. nov., C. schomburgkianus (Kuntze) Pax & K. Hoffm., and C. stipularis Gleason.

The images document fresh material, floral and fruit dissections observed under a stereomicroscope, and structures observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Each image file is labeled with the species name, followed by the collector’s surname and collection number, and a brief description of the image content (e.g., Chaetocarpus_schomburgkianus_Bordenave9647_SEM fruit surface). Images are provided in three ZIP archives, one for each species: Chaetocarpus morigerus J. Engel & Pétronelli, sp. nov. zip Chaetocarpus schomburgkianus (Kuntze) Pax & K.
