Industry and Occupation Matrix Data Files

These projections were used in planning education and training programs, career guidance, and studying long-range employment trends. This series provides current year and target year projections of industry and occupational employment.

The matrix is developed from data of the Occupational Employment Statistics Survey, the Current Population Survey, and the Current Employment Statistics Survey. Data e lements include: employment for the current year; percent of industry employment for each occupation for the current year; percent of occupation employment for each industry for the current year; employment for the target year; percent of industry employment for each occupation for the target year; percent of occupation employment for each industry for the target year; numeric employment change; and percent change in employment.
