The Labour Market Activity Survey (LMAS) has been designed as a replacement for the AWPS.
Description
The LMAS questionnaires collected information on the annual labour market participation of Canadians and the characteristics of up to five jobs held in each of the calendar years from 1986 to 1990. Two longitudinal files (1986-1987, and 1988-1989-1990) provide information on the labour market participation and job characteristics of Canadians over a two and three year period.
Up to five new employment experiences per year for each individual are tracked between calendar years in the longitudinal file.
