EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, Irrigation Block Alvito-Pisão and “Cuba” IBA: Reproductive Parameters of steppe species Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanii), Eurasina Roller (Coracias garrulus) and montagu’s Harrier (Circus pygargus) [2016-2017]

The dataset contains records of the reproductive success of the colonial species Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanii) collected in an area of the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba, performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in four consecutive visits during the brreding season, in the springs of 2016 and 2017.

All ruined buildings in the vicinity of IBA “Cuba”, included those previously known as breeding platforms were searched for. A total of 12 breeding colonies were identified, which produced 23 flying chicks.
