Developing higher education teaching practice: How are resources are chosen?

Listed in Oxford Brookes University: RADAR

This dataset was collected as part of a research project by the Oxford Centre for Academic Enhancement and Development (then the Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development) at Oxford Brookes University.

Description

This project aimed to investigate the range and the nature of resources that teachers in higher education (HE) used to inform their development as teachers. A secondary aim was to explore what impact recent sector-changing events (e.g. Covid-19, the Black Lives Matter movement) had (if any) on the use of these resources.

This research project was part of a larger project which aimed to develop a new HE-related publication focused on sharing the practical wisdom of staff and students in HE. This dataset informed the development of a free-to-access online magazine, Teaching Insights, which was launched in October 2021.
