Spatial Dataset and Drivers of Pyro-Socioecological Zones and Uncertainty in Mexico

The rasters represent:

Pyro-socioecological zones (9 classes): A spatial classification integrating fire regimes with socio-ecological contexts.

Confidence intervals (% per pixel): A raster expressing the uncertainty associated with the classification, reported as percentage confidence for each pixel.

The dataset provides a spatially explicit representation of pyro-socioecological dynamics, supporting ecological modeling, risk assessment, and landscape planning.

The confidence interval raster allows users to evaluate the reliability of zone assignments at fine spatial scales.

Keywords:
Pyro-socioecological zones, fire regimes, socio-ecological systems, raster data, confidence intervals, ecological modeling, spatial analysis, risk assessment.

Usage notes:

The zone raster is categorical

The confidence raster is continuous expressed in percentage

Both rasters are aligned spatially and can be used jointly for analysis.

Suitable for integration into GIS workflows, ecological modeling, and comparative risk diagnostics.

Related publication:

Jasso-Flores, I, & Corona-Núñez, R.O. 2026.
