Intersexual differences in adult body mass were statistically significant and male-biased during the mating season and at first emergences of juveniles from their natal nursery burrow (P < 0.001 for all 4x2 = 8 comparisons, Mann-Whitney U test; see also Fig 14.15), but not during the period of late pregnancy, when adult females tended to be heavier than adult males (see text) because many of those females were in the stage of late pregnancy All estimates in this file were checked TWO TIMES on 25 April 2023 GPD data are from all three study-colonies: Petrified Forest National Park (PEFO), Redondo Meadow Colony (RMC) at Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP), and Visitor Center Colony (VCC) at VCNP All BTPD data are from the single Rankin Ridge Colony at Wind Cave National Park All UPD data were from the Horse Corral Colony at Bryce Canyon National Park ALL WTPD data were from the single study-colony at the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge near Walden Colorado.
