ULF - Undersökningarna av levnadsförhållanden

Listed in CESSDA Data Catalogue

Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) measures and tracks the development of living conditions in Sweden.

Description

The surveys have been conducted on behalf of the Swedish Parliament since 1975, primarily through face-to-face interviews with a random sample of approximately 5,000–12,000 individuals annually from the Swedish population aged 16 and older. Through this, indicators for various welfare areas can be presented in time series that today extend about 50 years back in time.

The areas include health, economy, housing, employment, well-being and trust, leisure, social relationships, civic activities, safety, and work environment. The statistics are used, among other things, for comparisons between groups, comparisons over time, and for international comparisons.
