Saanich Inlet Sill Conductivity Temperature Depth Deployed 2017-11-29

Listed in CIOOS Pacific

The Sea-Bird SeaCAT SBE19plus V2 4997 was deployed on 2017-11-29 at Saanich Inlet Sill.

Description

Saanich Inlet Sill is a shallow bottom feature in the Saanich Inlet. The sill influences flow of oxygenated water and seasonal cycles.

This device is a Conductivity Temperature Depth. Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD) is an instrument package that contains sensors for measuring the conductivity, temperature, and pressure of seawater. Salinity, sound velocity, depth and density are variables that can be derived from sensor measurements.
