Root exudates and rhizosphere microorganisms of Juglans mandshurica in mixed stands of Juglans mandshurica and Larix gmelinii versus pure Juglans mandshurica stands
Listed in ScienceDB
Description
The data is sourced from field sampling and testing conducted at the Maoershan Teaching Area (Jianlagou Forest Cultivation Experimental Station) of Northeast Forestry University in July 2024; The research subjects are two types of forest stands: pure walnut trees and a mixed forest of 5 rows of larch and 3 rows of walnut trees, which were artificially created in 1987, with a plant row spacing of 1.5 m × 2 m. The sampling site is located in the low mountain and hilly area of the northwest slope of Zhangguangcai Ridge in the Changbai Mountains (45 ° 21 '~45 ° 25' N, 127 ° 30 '~127 ° 34' E), belonging to the temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 2.8 ℃, an annual precipitation of 723 mm, a frost free period of 120-140 days, and the soil type is mainly dark brown soil, with an average soil layer thickness of 40 cm.
A total of 10 plots were set up (5 repeated plots for each type of forest stand, with a single plot size of 20 m × 30 m). Samples were collected using an "S" - shaped distribution, with 5 standard trees selected from each plot for sampling. This dataset is a multidimensional combination dataset that integrates root secretion metabolome data, high-throughput sequencing data of rhizosphere microorganisms, and statistical analysis results.

All samples are set with biological replicates, and the data is complete and traceable. The data on root exudates of Juglans mandshurica was determined using UHPLC-Q Exactive ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry system. A total of 1632 metabolites were identified, distinguishing between pure forest and mixed forest metabolites (105 unique to pure forest and 76 unique to mixed forest); Record the relative content of key differential metabolites such as indole-3-acetic acid, S-adenosyl-homocysteine, coumarin C, and benzylglucosinolate; Contains KEGG functional annotations, pathway enrichment results, OPLS-DA discriminant analysis, and random forest model analysis data to clarify the differences in secretion metabolic pathways between two types of forest stands.
The rhizosphere microbial community data comes from high-throughput sequencing raw data, including fungal ITS1 region and bacterial 16S rDNA V4 region valid sequences. The raw data has been uploaded to the NCBI SRA database (bacteria: PRJNA1292432; Fungi: PRJNA1292448); Diversity data includes alpha diversity indicators such as fungal and bacterial Ace index, Chao index, Shannon even index, Simpson even index, as well as beta diversity (PCoA) analysis results based on Bray Curtis distance; Community composition data includes relative abundance of species at the phylum level; Functional and network data include relative abundance of fungal and bacterial functional groups, co-occurrence of microbial network nodes, number of connections, modularity, and other characteristic parameters.
