Body descriptors index an intermediate representation linking shape to trait impressions

The files consist of the following components:Body shape images (N = 140)：A set of 140 computer-generated renderings of human body shapes, varying systematically in morphology (e.g., height, waist-to-hip ratio, muscularity, etc.).Body shape parameters (10 PCA components)：Each body shape is represented by 10 principal component analysis (PCA) scores, capturing the main modes of shape variation in the training mesh data.Descriptive ratings (30 items)：Thirty perceptual ratings per body shape (e.g., tall, heavyset), collected from human raters. Trait ratings (30 items)：Thirty personality or dispositional trait ratings per body shape (e.g., confident, lazy, aggressive), based on the appearance of the body shape alone.Ratings of description–trait associations：Explicit evaluations of how strongly each body shape descriptor (e.g., “muscular”) is perceived to relate to each trait (e.g., “warm”).Computational code for relational analysis：Scripts in R implementing analyses to quantify the relationships among: body shape parameters, descriptive ratings, and trait ratings
