More specifically, our aims were : 1) to reconstruct local long-term changes in hydroclimate and the biogeochemical fluxes of C and N, and to examine their relationship with variations in regional atmospheric circulation patterns and 2) to determine the magnitude of recent climate change within the long-term core trends and whether there are regionally-coherent climatic patterns..
