It is coordinated by the Department of Natural History Research, Natural History Division, National Science Museum (국립중앙과학관 자연사과 자연사연구실) in the Republic of Korea. The project aims to secure and systematically document biodiversity resources through citizen participation.

Data were collected via the Naturing platform, a citizen science application that allows the public to record observations of wild species in their local environments. Each record contains standardized information such as taxonomy, observation date, location, and observer details, in compliance with international biodiversity data standards. This dataset is a National Natural History Research Information System (NARIS) data published by the GBIF to improve access to national and international scientific research, biodiversity conservation, and educational objectives.
