Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV / AIDS) Bibliographic Data Files

The database was used to identify medical and scientific literature, international conference presentations, and articles relating to HIV / AIDS. This series consists of a compilation of information on the AIDS pandemic and on the HIV seroprevalence (infection) in population groups in developing countries appearing in the medical and scientific literature, presented at internati onal conferences, and appearing in the press.

The files contain bibliographic citations to the study publications, and summary data from the studies themselves including the study country, geographic area, reference date, population subgroup, sex, age, rate, sample size, virus type, type of test, and data quality code.
