Replication Data for: Podiumkunstenmonitor Utrecht 2016

This Excel file contains data about the 501 concert-, theatre- and dance- performances in the city of Utrecht (The Netherlands), that took place between 5 and 18 december 2016.The data show what kinds of performing art performances (voorstellingen in de Podiumkunsten) are available to the citizens of Utrecht (The Netherlands). It is a “baseline” data collection of 501 organized theatre- and dance- and music performances in Utrecht, to be able to more closely compare (future) developments in these different disciplines.

Evert Bisschop Boele developed the first dataset for concerts in 2010, to be able to describe the music available to the inhabitants of Groningen and to provide a broad description of their daily musical context. The Groningen spreadsheet and research questions (where, when, what kind of music, by whom, for what price and at what time?) were the departing point for 2011 and 2013 Musicscapes of the city of Utrecht by Philomeen Lelieveldt.
