SMAPVEX22-Boreal experiment data

Listed in Borealis

The Soil Moisture Active Passive Validation Experiment in the boreal forest (SMAPVEX22-Boreal) took place near Candle Lake, Saskatchewan and focuses on data collected within a single Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) radiometer footprint, covering an area of approximately 30 x 30 km2.

Description

The SMAPVEX22-Boreal field experiment focused on accurately representing both soils and vegetation of the region based on comprehensive sampling campaigns.

Numerous datasets were collected from sampling campaigns and through the installation of in situ networks. The current version contains network hourly soil moisture and tree real dielectric constant (RDC) data from May to October, 2022. Additional datasets will be added in the future as they become available.
