The Herbarium of Antonio Campana, a brilliant professor of botany at the University of Ferrara between 1700 and 1800, consists of spontaneous plants mainly from the Ferrara area.

Description

The Herbarium includes 4414 plants in a good state of preservation, classified according to Linnaeus' system. The plants are not fixed with glue or pins but are loose on the pages and, unfortunately, there is no information about where and when they were collected.
