IMAGE AND WRITING IN (IN)COHERENCE TEXTUAL CONSTRUCTION: EPISODES OF WRITING IN ELEMENTERY SCHOOL

The selected data show that, although the concept of textual coherence is familiar to most teachers, to understand the analyzed subjects’ writing process is necessary for mother-language teachers direct their look, used to privilege both acquisition of language’s ortography and normativism grammatical tradition, to develop other linguistic skills associated with literacies practices.

The analysis suggests that the concept of coherence in writing acquisition processes will be better understood if considered from these practices, shifting it from the unique field of Textual Linguistics.
