Replication data for: Revealing the genetic diversity in the global ex situ sweetpotato collection with next generation sequencing technologies.

Listed in International Potato Center

The in-trust sweetpotato collection housed at the International Potato Center (CIP) in Lima, Peru, represents a major genetic resource for this important staple crop.

Description

A total of 5,930 accessions, comprising 5,908 accessions of the cultivated collection and 22 wild relative accessions, were subjected to High-Density DArTSeq genotyping. The resulting genotypic data were used to assess genetic diversity, phylogenetic relationships and population structure, identify putative duplicates, and establish a core collection capturing the genetic diversity of the collection with minimal redundancy.
