Checklist of Vascular Plants of the Aydar–Arnasay Tugai and Associated Ecosystems, Uzbekistan

The checklist comprises 204 species belonging to 128 genera and 37 families and was compiled from 113 geobotanical relevés. Most of the geobotanical data was collected during field investigations conducted between 2021 and 2025 in Jizzakh and Navoi Regions.

Historical geobotanical records available in the IBIS database and information from published sources were also used in compiling the checklist. The recent field investigations were conducted within the framework of the fundamental research project F-FA-2021-450, “History of the Formation and Current Development Trends of Tugai Vegetation in Uzbekistan under Global Changes in Hydroclimatic Conditions and Anthropogenic Transformation.” The checklist reflects the ecological diversity of the Aydar–Arnasay lake system and includes plants of tugai, lakeshore and wetland habitats, reed communities, and adjacent transitional areas.
