The utility and impact of comprehensive cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in chronic total occlusion

This study is a 2-centre (Belfast Heart Centre and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary) prospective cohort observational study measuring differences within individual subjects at two points in time; at baseline and follow-up post intervention.
Description
The patient group of interest were those who had been referred for further management following diagnosis of chronic total occlusion coronary disease at angiography. Patients were identified for eligibility screening following angiography demonstrating CTO in any coronary territory.
Those who had demonstration of both CTO-territory viability and inducible ischaemia at stress MRI were invited to consent for the study protocol. <br><br><i>Thesis embargoed until 31 July 2027</i>.
