Crack length data of the circular specimens under torsional cyclic loads with outer initial precrack

Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository

The response of the materials under the action of cyclic loads is always a topic of interest of the engineers and researchers.

Description

In this dataset is showed the results for the torsional fatigue test of the cylindrical cross section specimens. A longitudinal crack was induced in the outter diameter.

The specimen material is AISI 1015 steel. Fatigue test was realized in the torsional testing machine described in the literature. The asymmetry ratio used was -1.
