Analysis of volatile components and characteristic markers in loquat honey by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

Listed in ScienceDB

Description

This dataset systematically records the entire process of analyzing the volatile components and characteristic markers in Chinese characteristic loquat honey, aiming to support the figures and related experimental data in the paper "Analysis of Volatile Components and Characteristic Markers in loquat Honey Based on Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry". To clarify the volatile components and characteristic biomarkers of loquat honey, headspace solid-phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) was used to qualitatively analyze the volatile components of loquat honey from four major production areas in China (Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian, Sichuan).

Five characteristic aroma compounds of loquat honey were identified - p-methoxybenzaldehyde, p-methoxybenzyl alcohol, p-methoxybenzyl methyl benzoate, p-methoxybenzoic acid, and p-methoxybenzyl ethyl benzoate; Quantitative analysis of five characteristic biomarkers was performed using liquid-liquid extraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (LLE-GC-MS). This dataset provides all 2 figures and 5 data tables in the form of paper attachments. The data file in Figure 1 shows the total ion flux maps of five characteristic components. The data file in Figure 2 shows the extraction efficiency of five characteristic components in loquat honey using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, and acetonitrile. Table 1 shows the retention time, quantitative ion, and qualitative ion information of five characteristic components. Table 2 shows the relative content of volatile components in loquat honey obtained by area normalization method from four main production areas. Table 3 shows the linear range, detection limit, and quantification limit results of the method. Table 4 shows the results of low, medium, and high level addition recovery experiments using locust honey without 5 characteristic components as blank matrix. Table 5 shows the experimental results of adding and recovering loquat honey samples at higher levels of addition.
