The agency created and used the bibliographic files to provide offices and mission staff, other donor agencies, host country government agencies and institutions, and the public worldwide with access to bibliographic references to technical and program documents.
Description
This series contains bibliographic records of international development project papers, evaluation reports, and contractor reports on development assistance projects.
There are two file types: Document Databases and Projects Data bases. The Document Databases contain records relating to foreign aid project, program, policy, and research documents produced or sponsored by the Agency for International Development (AID). Documents are grouped as Project / Program documents or Technical / Research / Policy documents.

There are also a limited number of records relating to documents not produced or sponsored by AID. A large portion of the records relate to agriculture. The Projects Databases contain records of descriptions of AID development assistance projects.
These records contain an abstract of the project and provide information about the project status. NARA has several versions of these data. The agency not only added new records to the files, but sometimes removed existing records.
Because of these changes, the later versions of the files will not include all the records contained in the earlier versions. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC). See the ARC catalog entry for this series for more information on this data and how to order it.
