The Well-Being of Older People in Cleveland, Ohio, Study File

The agency used these records to evaluate the impact federal programs for the elderly had on these individuals and to prepare the reports "The Well-Being of Older People in Cleveland, Ohio" and "Conditions of Older People: National Information Needed." This series consists of data from a survey of older persons in Cleveland, Ohio, concerning their well-being in five functional areas: social; economic; mental; physical; and activities of daily living.

Data include the respondent's age, sex, race, marital status, educational background, household structure, employment status and history, type of home care received (personal care, checking, homemaker, administrative and legal, and meal preparation), financial status (housing, groceries, and food stamps), social / recreational services, medical care received (medical, psychotropic drugs, supportive devices, nursing care, physical therapy, and mental health), assessment and referral services available (coordination, information, and referrals, overall evaluation, and outreach), and type of transportation services.
