Data for: Entwicklung eines CAMMP-Workshops zu AlphaZero

Listed in DaRUS

This dataset contains the materials developed for the CAMMP workshop AlphaZero as part of Julian Bauer's M. Ed. thesis.

Description

It includes the interactive Jupyter notebooks used by students, supporting Python code, figures, help materials, presentations, teacher materials, solutions, and the results of the workshop evaluation. Data used within the workshop, such as Monte Carlo simulation results and data required for Reinforcement Learning experiments, were generated computationally; where necessary, fixed random seeds were used to make these results reproducible.

The evaluation data originate from an anonymous questionnaire completed by the seven students who participated in the workshop pilot. The dataset is organized into three main directories. AlphaZero - Erprobte Version contains the version of the workshop used during the pilot, while AlphaZero - Finale Version contains the revised final version based on the observations and evaluation results.

Evaluationsergebnisse contains the anonymized questionnaire results in CSV, JSON, and PDF format as well as the questionnaire itself. Within the two workshop directories, materials are further organized into source code, generated data, figures, help materials, worksheets, and materials for instructors. Worksheets and help materials are provided as Jupyter notebooks as well as HTML and PDF exports.

The notebooks contain the interactive versions, while the HTML and PDF files allow the materials to be inspected without running JupyterLab. The materials can be reused to conduct or adapt the workshop, to inspect its didactic and technical implementation, or to develop related teaching materials on Reinforcement Learning. The included generation notebook can be used to reproduce the computationally generated data used in the materials.

Providing both the pilot and final versions also allows the revisions made after the pilot to be traced. The anonymized evaluation data can be used for further analysis of the pilot; however, due to the small and voluntarily selected group of seven participants, they should not be interpreted as representative evidence of the workshop's general learning effectiveness.
