Grants Management Information System (GMIS) Files

GMIS supported the integration of financial, operating, and performance information on transit agencies that were collected as part of Federal operating requirements. GMIS records were used for statistical reporting to Congress and the Office of Management and Budget.

This series contains records of fiscal budgets, grant awards (grants-in-aid), and post grant management activities for local transit agencies who are beneficiaries of agency grants. The series includes data covering account activity, basic grant and contract information, operating budget data, audit, certification congressional district identifiers and geographic location codes, and triennial review reporting. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC).
